The statement is a profound call from First Nations People for constitutional change and structural reform in their relationship with Australia - a relationship based on Voice, Treaty and Truth.
Voice
Allowing First Nations’ People to express their views to Parliament and Government on important policy decisions affecting their rights.
Treaty
Establishing a formal agreement between the government and First Nations Peoples to create a path forward.
Truth
Acknowledging the full extent of past injustices experienced by First Nation Peoples, to assist in moving towards genuine reconciliation
